The Grange strives daily to be an important part of the community in many ways. We rent out the hall for the use of the community, family and friends. Be it a concert, wedding, dance or wake we want the hall to be used; we encourage the use of the hall. We have one of the nicest hardwood floors around and we are a perfect venue for dancing of which currently there are line dance and ballroom classes as well as Tai Chi and with all the mirrors on the wall they assist in taking some very interesting pictures allowing the photographer to obtain just the picture he/she wants without the Subject suspecting anything.  For a very long time alcohol was not allowed but that has changed and for more information you can contact us. We have invested in upgraded acoustics that have improved the quality of the sound in the hall greatly and is widely used by bands and concerts frequently with a very sizable stage for comfort. There are meetings held at the hall, other organizations such as the  Girl Scouts, Vietnam Veteran’s and others enjoy the many and varied opportunities our Grange hall and the park like setting has to offer as well as the friendliness and ease of working with all our members.

We believe in being involved with the community and other non profit organizations and are big supporters of the ChariTree event held each December.  Early on the members and leaders recognized the importance of social interaction with all people and still believe that today and show support by our charitable contributions, social dances, community meals and we are known for our “dessert table” at every function. Anyone 14 years or older can join the Chetco Grange #765 and Community Center, and 5 years of age and older are welcome to become a Junior Granger. The membership sponsors and plans many events at the hall including such events as the concert featuring Jessie a.k.a. Jessie G. a very talented and lovely young lady who grew up here and moved on to Nashville as well others. Being a non-profit we plan fundraisers such as community dances, pancake breakfast to name a few to raise funds that help with the maintenance of the building and grounds. The members of the Grange are volunteers who donate countless hours to a host of other events outside the hall.  It is our goal to be and play an important part in this wonderful small community by the ocean.
